Flags and portraits of Turkish leaders burnt in Armenia

Torchlight procession in Yerevan: Turkish flag burned.

The torch rally to the memorial complex Tsitsernakaberg organized by the youth wing of the ARF Dashnaktsutun was held in Yerevan on April 23.

The rally involved several thousands of young people.

The traditional rally organized by the youth union of the federation started at Matenadaran where a small meeting had been held before. The start of the rally was marked with burning down the Turkish flag with the portraits of Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Armenia Today reported.

During the rally they chanted patriotic appeals and songs. By their rally the young people said “no” to any compromise with Turkey and demanded to recognize “genocide.”
