Armenia failed to destroy the Azerbaijani-Turkish strategic partnership, says Azerbaijani political scientist Rasim Musabeyov.
On April 22, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on suspension of the Armenia-Turkey Protocols’ ratification at the Parliament.
According to Musabeyov, Armenia failed to destroy the relations between the two fraternal countries. “When they were convinced that it is not worthy to count for this, and Turkey, even after a meeting in Washington, made it clear that it will not deviate from its line that without progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, these protocols will be ratified and the border will not be opened, actually Serj Sargisyan himself got into trap. In the diaspora and in Yerevan, all accused him that the protocols gave a reason for the Obama administration to refuse to recognize the ‘Armenian genocide’ in spite of its obligations,” said the political scientist.
