Justice and Development Party Deputy Omer Celik condemned the protest demonstrations that are being held under the topic of commemoration of so called Armenian genocide. "These kind of initiatives cannot be explained with freedom of thought," said he.
Issuing a written statement, vice chairman of Justice and Development Party stated that Armenian diaspora organizations in some Western countries are holding rallies in which they attack and defame the values of Turkish nation and the Turkish state. Stating that protesters are being disrespectful to the values of Turkish people, Ataturk and Turkish flag, Celik said, "It is not possible to explain these kind of behaviours with the freedom of thought."
Condemning the rallies of defamation being held by Armenian diaspora organizations, Celik said, "Racism and cancer of conscience cannot be associated with our nation. The ones who should face their own history related to those issues, cannot have a mission to give a lecture to our people. We are condemning these attacks against our joint national values.
