The US president Barack Obama in a speech about the events allegedly occurred in 1915 in Ottomanian Turkey, as in the past year, called them "great catastrophe",  cnnturk.com reported

It should be noted that prior to being elected as the president, Barrack Obama promised to use the term "genocide". But taking into consideration Turkey’s importance and role, he like his predecessors yielded up this thought during his speech on April 24, 2009

On March of the current year the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee passed the resolution, by a vote of 23 to 22, on made-up “genocide of Armenians”. In turn, during his visit to the USA, early in this month, Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that Barrack Obama would not use the term "genocide".

We remind, Armenians call "genocide" Ottoman’s government policy on resettlement of the Armenian population for the safety purposes in the internal areas of the empire in 1915, and they declare destruction of Armenians. The Turkish government repeatedly suggests to set up the joint Turkish-Armenian commission for investigation of those events, but the Armenian side turns it down.

The parliaments of some countries recognized the made-up “genocide of Armenians” due to the political reasons. But, no country could present any historical document or fact about these events. Turkey has opened its archives, but Armenia has refused it.

Today, the claims of Armenia and the Armenian diaspora on made-up "genocide" is used by the political world as the means of influence on Turkey.
