E-mail Print PDF
"The tragedy of World War I was a political disaster. Armenians, who started rebellion against Ottoman Empire, considered the war as an occasion to establish their independent state. And Ottoman Empire responded that in a way which any other Empire would. Ottoman Empire had never intended to annihilate Armenians, those allegations are absurd."
Academician who worked as advisor to former U. S. President Reagan, Bruce Fein said that Turkey should go on defending its cause with the support of histocal truths and law. Making a speech during the rally that is held by Young Turks organization against Armenian accusations of genocide, Fein stated that Turkish lobby in United States grows stronger and Armenian lobby loses influence.
It was a political calamity
Stating that the tragedy of World War I was a political disaster, Fein said, " Armenians, who started rebellion against Ottoman Empire, considered the war as an occasion to establish their independent state. And Ottoman Empire responded that in a way which any other Empire would. Ottoman Empire had never intended to annihilate Armenians, those allegations are absurd."
Armenian Atrocity
Stating that Muslims of Ottoman Empire also died during 1915 incidents, Fein said, "These people died because wars, diseases and hunger. Other than that, the number of Muslims that died is much more than the loss of Armenians. About 2 millions of Muslims died in Eastern Anatolia. And most of this amount consist of the victims of massacre that is committed by Armenian partizans".
They Do Not Have Evidence
Stating that Armenians never introduced the issue of so called Armenian genocide into the International Court of Justice, Fein said, "They never introduced the issue to the international court as they do not have any evidence. They applied to political institutions and called political organizations to support their allegations. They worked with historians who do not know history."
History Cannot Be Judged by Politicians
Stating that history should be analysed by historians and crime should be evaluated by courts, Bruce Fein said that evaluation of history and crime by politicians is violating the law and the constitution."
