Will Israeli Parliament Discuss Armenian Allegations

Israeli Parliament (Knesset), will evaluate the request of Meretz Party Leader Haim Oron on May 28 towards opening of a general discussion over Armenian allegations on 1915 incidents.
Haim Oron will adress to the parliament during the session on May 28 and will try to convince Israeli parliamentarians that such a resolution is necessary. A parliamentarian from Israeli government will respond to Oron's thesis. If the parliament accepts the suggestion of Oron, appropriate committee of Israeli parliament will discuss Armenian allegations over 1915 incidents.
Knesset previously rejected to initiate discussions on the issue following the attempts of Meretz Party leader Haim Oron. Israeli government officials had stated that Knesset is towards resolution of the historical debate by the historians of two countries.
