Armenian FM: We are ready to move forward

E-mail Print PDF
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan stated that Armenia is ready to move forward if Ankara will be ready to implement the agreements between two countries.
Russian Itar-Tass news agency reported Nalbandyan as saying, "If Turkey becomes ready to develop relations without preconditions as our partner and to implement agreements, we will be also ready to make steps further".
"It will be Turkey's decision if we will be old or new partners," Nalbandyan said, "We made significant progress in developing relations without any preconditions. This is the unique way that can work for international community and us. If Turkey makes significant steps again and makes steps in this direction, our side will also make appropriate steps."
Stating that it is unnecessary to renew negotiations, Nalbandyan said, "Yerevan is not taking part in the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia for nothing. Armenia and Turkey initiated the process and we signed the protocols. But afterwards the process entered in an impasse."
Nalbandyan claimed that Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan find the way out through the process by suspending the process of ratification of protocols in Armenian Parliament.
