'International community may blame Armenia for the failure'

E-mail Print PDF
Armenian-Turkish process is deadlocked.

The international community might blame Armenia for the failure of the Armenian-Turkish process, member of the Political Board of the Republic Party, representative of the Armenian National Congress Suren Surenyants told a press conference.

“Armenia was the first to take a decision on the suspension of the ratification process. Therefore, the international community may possibly blame Armenia for the failure, irrespective of Turkey’s behavior,” he added.

Surenyants does believe that the Armenian-Turkish protocols provide a ground for establishment of peace and stability in the region. He considers, however, that the process is deadlocked and it would be naive to expect the international community to exert pressure on Turkey, Suren Surenyants said.
