The experienced businessman and TABA-AmCham President Uğur Terzioğlu stated that Armenian diaspora prepares for holding a large scale rally for the April 24, 2015, 100th anniversary of so called Armenian genocide, and said, "We should prepare for 2015 as we are struggling to develop commercial relations with the U.S."
Making a speech at "Academic Council" meeting that is organized by Marmara Group Foundation, Terzioglu stressed that 3 million Armenians are preparing to rally in Washington on April 24, 2015. "There are various preparations to make a rally for the 100th anniversary of so called Armenian genocide on April 24 of 2015. We should be prepared against this. Armenian youths are taking action with the support of diaspora. Turkish youths, businessmen and NGO's should also start preparations for the year 2015. We should attach importance and accelerate lobbying activities," said he.
Terzioglu stated that strengthening commercial relations with United States will also solve several political problems. "We need to increase our lobbying activities against genocide allegations. We need a strong commercial move against Armenian resolution. The only comprehensive solution to this problem is strengthening the influence of Turkish businessmen in U.S. through buying companies. I know that there are several companies in U.S. which are experiencing though times due to the economical crisis. Buying these companies by cheap prices will certainly contribute our lobbying capacity in the USA," Terzioglu said.
