One of the biggest supporters of so called Armenian genocide resolution in the Congress, Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) called survivers of 1915 incidents to submit their stories and memories related to so called Armenian genocide for inclusion into the Congressional Record. "We can use the official record of the Congress to document the first genocide of the last century," said he.
A new campaing to record story and memories of the survivors of so called Armenian genocide into Congressional records is initiated on Wednesday. Calling the survivors and their families in the United States to submit their stories Schiff said, "While there are still some survivors left, we can use the official record of the Congress to document the first genocide of the last century."
According to the report of Asbarez, main sponsor of H.Res.252, Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) initiated a "Congressional Record" campaign to officially record the experience of the survivors of so called Armenian genocide during 1915 incindents. " While there are still some survivors left, we can use the official record of the Congress to document the first genocide of the last century. This can become an important resource for historians, a vital part of our nation’s archives, and a part of the continuing effort to educate Members of Congress as we move forward with the genocide resolution," said he.
