Armenian diaspora to clone Mount Agri

Armenian diaspora plans to build a copy of Mount Agri to Yerevan as Armenians consider the mountain as a national symbol. Armenian diaspora in United States, paid Forrestt Fulton architectural company in the state of Alabama to build a smaller copy of Mount Agri in Yerevan.
According to the report of Panorama.am, the artificial mountain is named as "Lace Hill". Reinforced concrete building will include balconies and terraces which will have Armenian motifs on. The building which will be built as a mountain will include stores, apartments, hotels and amusement centers within.
Armenians' Claim on Mount Agri
Turkey-Armenia border was determined with the treaty of Kars in 1921 between Turkey and USSR. Armenians' claims on Mount Agri also was one of the points of discussions during the protocols that two countries signed toward normalization of bilateral relations. The protocols are urging two countries to recognize each other's territorial integrity and it caused disappointment among nationalist Armenians. Armenians keep their claims on Mount Agri alive, after Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan froze the process of ratification of Turkey-Armenia protocols.
