Ataturk's memorial to open in Baku

Memorial to the founder of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk will open in Baku.

The memorial will be set opposite the Turkish embassy-at the junction of Samad Vurgun and Bakikhanov’s streets in the Nasimi district of Baku.

According to sources in the Nasimi district executive powers, the monument is planned to be erected soon. By some information, the opening opening ceremony of the memorial will be held on May 16.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is planning to visit Azerbaijan this day and he may also attend the ceremony.
