European expert M. Comback claimed that Turkey and Armenia missed the appropriate time for normalization of relations. "The window of opportunities is closed now," said he. According to the report of Panorama, European expert said that Turkish-Armenian normalization should progress by the method of cognition. "Turkey should not be urged for normalization," he added.
Stating that normalizing its relations with Turkey will bring a series of opportunities to Armenia in foreign policy and will open doors of the West to Armenia, M. Comback said, "On the other hand, European Union and United States cannot fulfill their role as mediators because Turkey does not want to sacrifice its interests for that factor. The same situation exists for the OSCE Minsk Group over Nagorno-Karabakh problem. It is not possible to make logical steps or to mediate while one of the parties lead its public to form a ground opposed to other party."
"Except current government, any Armenian government did not ever follow a logical and brave strategy while they were preparing the future of Armenian public. As a result of this policy, Armenia understood its position in the international arena and saw to whom it can rely on as partner," Comback said.
