American Azerbaijanis are concerned that adopted UN Security Council resolutions, UN General Assembly resolutions about Azerbaijan are not enforced.
The Diaspora organizations are calling on the UN to start taking serious steps to implement the UN Security Council resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884 of 1993, the UN General Assembly resolution A/RES/48/114 and others. The named resolutions call for the immediate withdrawal of Armenian forces from Azerbaijani territories.
The Azerbaijani Diaspora is reminding that the UN itself recognized more than 1 million people as Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons. They also remind that it has been more than 18 years since Shusha and other lands of Azerbaijan were occupied by Armenia.
