Armenian diaspora on move in France

Armenian diaspora in France is taking action for ratification of the law that penalizes the denial of so called Armenian genocide in French Senate.
French Parliament recognized so-called Armenian genocide in 2001 and the French National Assembly adopted a resolution proposing a penalty for anyone who denies Armenian allegations regarding to 1915 incidents. Union of Armenian organizations in France (CCAF) called French Senate to ratify the resolution. "The resolution waits in the Senate since 4 years. It should be urgently ratified and implemented, " told CCAF representative Asbed Aramandayen.
Announcing that Armenian diaspora has initiated lobbying efforts for the law, CCAF called French-Armenians for rallying near Senate today.
