Deputy Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova said that nothing can sow discord between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Visiting Almaty, Kazakhstan to participate the meeting of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Bahar Muradova stated that Turkish-Azerbaijani relations are based on strong foundations and nothing can shake them.
Stating that they attach great importance to the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Azerbaijan, Muradova said that although two countries sometimes have unserious problems, the relations are generally perfect. "Time showed that allegations claiming that the protocols which Turkey signed with Armenia may damage Turkish-Azerbaijani relations do not reflect the truth. Also the claims that Turkey will open its borders to Armenia before resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem is proved to be baseless," said she.
Underscoring that Turkey will not open borders unless Armenia withdraws from the lands of Azerbaijan, Bahar Muradova reminded that Prime Minister Erdogan numerously promised that. Stating that Azerbaijan would only welcome resolution of problems among Turkey and its neighbouring countries, Muradova said, "The basic problem lies under Armenia. Armenia does not only claim Azerbaijan's lands. Armenia's real intention to annex Turkish territory. They bring so called Armenian genocide on the agenda in every platform to drive Turkey into corner."
Stressing that Armenians are not going to achieve their intentions by bringing so called Armenian genocide on the agenda, Muradova said, "Turkey is a great and strong country. We believe in the strength of Turkey. We are towards friendly and fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Turkey has problems with Armenia and for solving these problems we, Turkey and Azerbaijan should move in solidarity."
