The Armenian delegation in PACE mush boycott the subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh in case of its creation within the PACE framework, Naira Zograbyan, representative of the Flourishing Armenia party, member of the Armenian delegation in PACE and head of the commission on European integration, said from the parliamentary tribune.
According to the report of Armenia Today, she said the Karabakh issue must be settled exclusively in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group and its transfer in a different format is inadmissible. This position is also support by the international community, Zograbyan said. Meanwhile, the deputy noted that the one-sided position of PACE chairman Mevlut Cavusoglu and his open support to Azerbaiajan on this issue is also inadmissible.
Considering the fact that it was Cavusoglu who proposed the subcommittee and claims for the role of its chairman, Zograbyan noted that creation of such a subcommittee is senseless especially considering the fact that its previous chairman Lord Russel-Johnston has repeatedly stated the inexpediency of this structure.
