Former President of Turkish Historical Society Professor Yusuf Halacoglu said that Turkey's development fears some countries and they struggle to split the country. "We should unite and move in solidarity against that," said he.
Speaking at the Second Book Fair in Kocaeli, Professor Yusuf Halacoglu said, "Today the West is struggling to create internal chaos in Turkey. They are discriminating us as Alawi-Sunni and Turkish-Kurdish and they are trying to undermine our unity and togetherness. PKK aims to create a Turkish-Kurdish conflict. The inner circle of PKK consists of Armenians more than Kurds. They aim to initiate a Kurdish rebellion. We need to unite and move in solidarity against these."
Stating that Turkish people's duty is to educate themselves, Halacoglu said, "The way for self-development is to read. The more you read, you will build more knowledge."
