E-mail Print PDF
Regnum news agency's sources stated that France's Ambassador to Armenia Serj Smesoff may be the next French co-chair in Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group.
On the other hand, French Embassy in Armenia has refuted the reports.
According to the news agency, Serj Smesoff will be replaced with the current French co-chair Bernard Fassier.
The source wrote, "For quickening the process of resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem, parties of the conflict should negotiate over the disputed issues or the co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group should be changed. The second seems to be easier. Therefore, Russian and American co-chairs were changed. Now it is the time for changing French co-chair Bernard Fassier."
The source stressed that French Ambassador to Armenia Serj Smessof is a good choice for the duty and wrote, "Because he knows the conflict and he speaks Russian as well."
The source claimed that Smessof will be appointed in his new job in the summer or autumn in this year.
