Member of the Turkish parliament, career diplomat Onur Oymen said he would continue to do his best for Azerbaijan despite that he was not elected to the leadership of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) of Turkey at the party’s last congress.
The former ambassador told APA’s correspondent in Ankara that CHP wouldn’t change its policy towards Azerbaijan. “There can not be any dismissal regarding our commitments before our Azerbaijani brothers. There is no doubt that our new chairman will defend our main course towards the solution of Karabakh conflict and other issues related to Azerbaijan. Despite that I don’t take leading position in the party I will resolutely follow my course. It is important to continue right and principal policy. CHP will not leave its policy towards Azerbaijan. I am greeting my Azerbaijani brothers from here, from our congress”. CHP’s former chairman Deniz Baykal was the most resolute political leader who was successively defending Azerbaijan’s position. Kemal Kilicdaroglu replaced Baykal at the CHP’s last congress. Mayis Alizadeh – APA
