“Friendship with aggressive Armenia, which killed tens of thousands of Moslems, destroyed Islamic monuments - mosques, medreses, graveyards, captured our mothers and sisters, first of all, is disrespect for martyr families, refugees and courageous Azerbaijani Moslems, who think about only the liberation of their occupied territories”
Azerbaijani students studying religious science in Iran’s Qum City appealed to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the students told. They demanded from Iran’s President to stop relations with Armenia: “Unfortunately, today relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Armenia are more remarkable than its relations with Azerbaijan. We do not know the reason of this, but we have to tell you some moments in this case. Confrontation between Armenias and Azerbaijani Moslems has become history as Armenian- Moslem conflict. Along with Azerbaijanis, other Moslem nations such as Kurds, Talishs, Tats, Lezghins and etc. became victims of the genocide committed by the Caucasian Armenians. Fancily on “Great Armenia”, Armenians killed thousands of people in 1905-1907, tens of thousands in March-April of 1918, about 40 000 people in 1991-1994. They killed 613 peaceful Moslems during the genocide on February 26, 1992. During those tragedies, our Moslem compatriots were killed with special savagery, buried alive, burnt and other fiendish tortures”.
It was noted in the appeal that Iran’s current relations with Armenia rise surprise, “Instead of using all opportunities for comprehensive aid to its Azerbaijani Moslem brothers and increase political and economic pressure upon Armenia, friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Armenia increase day-by-day, volume of economic relations enhance more. That is, even Armenian officials are surprised at offers of Iranian Government”.
More than one hundred student signed the document considered that, “friendship with aggressive Armenia, which killed tens of thousands of Moslems, destroyed Islamic monuments - mosques, medreses, graveyards, captured our mothers and sisters, first of all, is disrespect for martyr families, refugees and courageous Azerbaijani Moslems, who think about only the liberation of their occupied territories”.
The end of the appeal reads: “We believe that, preferring the interests of Azerbaijan as your own ones, Iran will stop relations with aggressive Armenia, which has occupied 20 percent of territories of Azerbaijan and drove out more than one million Azerbaijani citizens from their homelands”.
The copy of the appeal was sent to all authoritative leaders of Iran, Friday Imams and several authoritative persons.
