E-mail Print PDF

Holding an official visit to Kazakhstan, President Abdullah Gul commented on the recent developments in Turkish-Armenian process and stressed that current status-quo in Caucasus is not towards anyone.

Replying the questions of Turkish journalists in Kazakhstan, Gul stressed the necessity of following a silent and decisive work in Caucasus. "If these problems cannot be solved in one or two years, parties will have to wait for 10 years at least. And that is not towards the interests of any party," said the President of Turkey.

President Gul met Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Adressing to the Kazakh Parliament, Gul said, "We naturally expect members of Turkish World, especially Kazakhstan to support the interests of Turkish people in Cyprus."

Commenting on the recent incidents in Kyrgyzstan, Gul said, "The incidents in fraternal country Kyrgyzstan disappointed us. I believe it is the duty of fraternal peoples to help Kyrgyz people overcome this tough period."
