"Unfortunately, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian shows the highest level of cynicism, blaming Azerbaijan of wrongful actions,” Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Elkan Polukhov said.

He was commenting on Nalbandian’s statement in which he voiced discontent with Azerbaijani leadership’s position in resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"With its aggressive policies, Armenia has violated all international norms, and now that Azerbaijan wants to restore its territorial integrity under international law, it suggests Azerbaijan not to do this,” Polukhov added.

“The fact of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan has been recognized not only by separate states, but also increasing number of international organizations. This is what irritates the Armenian leadership,” he said.

“Regarding Serzh Sargsyan’s statement, he contradicts himself. Because both parties are involved in the a process, which aims to ensure that international law prevails, that is, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is restored," Polukhov said.

Previously, Armenia President Sargsyan said that "the Armenian side is not going to bargain question of right of the “Karabakh people" with self-determination.”
