Turkish, Azerbaijani Organizations For Erecting A Khojaly Genocide Monument in Hamburg

Director of Ataturk Cultural Center of Hamburg, Selcuk Han and Director of Azerbaijan Cultural Organization of Hamburg, Azer Rovshen presented the signatures that are collected for erecting a Khojaly Genocide monument to the Municipality of Hamburg.

Signatures that are collected by Ataturk Cultural Center of Hamburg and Azerbaijan Cultural Organization of Hamburg to erect a monument at Hammerpark in Hamburg for the memory of the victims of Khojaly massacre is presented to the Municipality administration of Hamburg-Mitte. "We do not intend to feed anger between Turkish and Armenian communities. We aim to prevent similar massacres to take place again by helping people to derive lessons from what happened. We support peaceful and harmonic relations between the communities in Hamburg," said Selcuk Han.

Director of Azerbaijan Cultural Organization of Hamburg, Azer Rovshen said, "613 civilian Azerbaijani citizen were massacred by Armenians in 1992 in Khojaly. We want to immortalize the victims of this crime against humanity by erecting a monument for their memory."
