E-mail Print PDF

A group of US Congressmen has voiced support to democratic processes in separatist Karabakh and its self-determination.

The so-called parliamentary elections were held in "Nagorno Karabakh Republic" on May 23.

"These elections demonstrate the power of democratic processes in your republic and prove adherence of the people of Karabakh to its sovereignty. We will continue supporting your efforts on strengthening democracy, provision of the consistent development of the region and protest self-determination of Karabakh", says a message of democrat Frank Pallone and republican Mark Kirk - co-chairs of the Congressional Group on Armenian issues that includes 150 congressmen.

In turn, representative of the "NKR" in the United States Robert Avetisyan thanked the US congressmen for their constant support to the democratic processes in Karabakh.
