Armenia is a prior vector of Russia's foreign policy, said Russian Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko when opening the Roundtable on the topic "Armenian-Russian Cooperation and Regional Problems" in Yerevan on June 5.

"Undoubtedly, there are also challenges and problems in the Armenian-Russian relations, therefore we must find answers to then together. These problems are characteristic to the South Caucasus and their resolution need combined efforts," the Ambassador said.

Among the key problems that need resolution, the Ambassador outlined issues related to creation of favorable investment environment for Russian companies in Armenia and regulation of the labor activity of Armenian migrants in Russia. "There are nearly 1.5 million Armenians in Russia, therefore our awareness of the Armenian and Russian markets is very important," Kovalenko said.
