Turkish-Armenian Rapprochement in Art

E-mail Print PDF

Famous Turkish writer Nedim Gursel, who lives in France, attended to a book fair together with famous French singer of Armenian origin Charlses Aznavour.

As Aznavour signed his book "A Voix Basse" for Nedim Gursel writing "Hopefully for the joint future we have despite whatever happened in the past", Gursel signed his book "Sept Derviches" which is recently translated into French and presented to Aznavour.

Turkish people remember Armenian Ambassador to Switzerland and French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour, 85, with his statements in a TV show mentioning Turkish territories as Armenian. Urging Turkey to "return" so called "Western Armenia", Aznavour had said that Stalin pledged to give several Turkish cities to Armenia but that did not happen since 1924.
