Sometimes when i watch television i am asking to myself, "Which country do these TV channels belong?" There are such "intellectuals" in our country that in their opinion, everything about us is so bad.
You would face difficulties even if you just seek the truth for the interests of this country.
I want to introduce you a book that may be used as a reference while studying on historical truths about Turkish-Armenian relations; "Turk Kafkas Islam Ordusu ve Ermeniler (1918)." Author of the book, Dr. Mustafa Goruryilmaz uses real documents from the archives and presents them with impressive info. Here are some quotes;
"...Russian Bolshevik leaders Lenin and Stalin appointed Stepan Shaumyan as a special commissar of the South Caucasus and Anatolia. According to the decree, the main duty of Shaumyan was establishing an "Armenian state" in Eastern Anatolia under the auspices of Russia..."
"... Director of Azerbaijan Ataturk Center Professor Dr. Nizami Caferov says, "Azerbaijan needed Turkish army assistance a lot. It was impossible to imagine any other power that can defend Azerbaijan. It should be noted that Azerbaijan was under huge pressure and it was surrounded from all sides. Red Army of Russian Bolsheviks, English army which came to Caucasus with imperialist purposes and Armenians which aim to establish an Armenian state in the region were all making plans against Azerbaijan"..."
"....Bolsheviks and Armenians were planning to expel Turks from the region to take over the control of rich petroleum reserves in Absheron peninsula. Besides the aim of controlling the petroleum reserves, one of the main goals of Shaumyan was to create a "Great Armenia", a country having coasts to Caspian Sea, Black Sea and Mediterranian Sea..."
There are much more to quote. So called "intellectuals" should take a glance at this book...
