Commenting on the Israeli attack on aid ship which killed 9 Turkish citizen seeking to break Gaza blockade, Jewish-American political scientist Normal Finkelstein said, "Do not get surprized if pro-Israeli circles in United States come up with a proposal to discuss Armenian issue."
Stating that Israel attacked Turkish aid ship Mavi Marmara intentionally, Finkelstein said, "If the attack was made by Iranians against an American ship, the best thing to do would be moving somewhere else from Tehran. People consider United States as a superpower. But United States did not act as a superpower in this issue and its response was weak."
Stressing that Turkey's increasing role in the region disturbs Israel, Finkelstein said, "Israel does not know what to do about this and therefore they are making dangerous moves." Asked whether the recent terrorist attacks of PKK might have connection with Israel, Finkelstein said, "Israel has a department for dirty works. Do not get surprized if pro-Israeli circles in United States come up with a proposal to discuss Armenian issue". Finkelstein stated that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has good relations with American press and uses his contacts with media to distort the facts about the incident.
