Giving a lecture in Germany, former Director of Turkish Historical Society refuted the allegations of Armenian genocide. As an initiative of Turkish non-governmental organizations in the leadership of Director of Schwabach Turkish Culture Organization Seyfettin Karagol, renowned historian Yusuf Halacoglu gave a lecture entitled "Armenian issue and displacement".
During the lecture, Professor Doctor Yusuf Halacoglu mentioned the situation of Ottoman-Armenians during the WWI and stated that Armenians were displaced to a safer region of the empire due to the conditions of war together with domestic and external factors.
