Making a visit to Georgian capital, Tbilisi, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said that they would welcome the mediation of any country in the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia.
"Yerevan waits for Ankara's real readiness for Turkey-Armenia normalization process," said he.
Armenian Foreign Minister met with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze and replied the questions of journalists following the joint press conference with Georgian FM. Asked about the process of Turkish-Armenian normalization, Nalbandian said, "Yerevan would welcome mediation of any country. Because we consider that it would be beneficial for the normalization. But we are waiting for Ankara's real readiness for Turkey-Armenia normalization process before that."
Nalbandian claimed that Turkish parliament blocked ratification process of Turkey-Armenia protocols a few months ago. "Therefore the process is interrupted. The preconditions that are set by Turkey put a stop to the process," said he.
Armenian Foreign Minister expected to meet Georgian President Mihali Saakashvili today in Georgia.
