According to the report of RFE/RL radio's Armenian service, Washington Times journalist Eli Lake said that Turkey can no longer trust Jewish groups in United States to confront recognition of so called Armenian genocide.
Lake said that the crisis in the relations between Turkey and Israel will ease the initiatives of Armenian lobby to bring Armenian bill on the agenda of U.S. House of Representatives.
Stating that Jewish lobby decreased its support to United States in 2008, Lake said that the support of Jewish-American organizations has dried up with the last crisis between Turkey and Israel. Armenian diaspora is expected to use the opportunity and intensify pressure to introduce so called Armenian genocide resolution for the general vote in U.S. House of Representatives.
