There are signals that Jewish lobby in United States is positioning against Turkey.
The signals are the threats regarding to Armenian and PKK issues. I saw that our conservative newspapers except Zaman daily did not give space to these. Not only Dogan group's newspapers but also Sabah newspaper attached importance to this issue and published a detailed report.
These signals should be taken very seriously. I know some will say that Jews are already enemies of Turks and Islam. Actually the enmity is between Jews and Christians. That is why anti-semitism originates from the Western World. On the other hand, such conflict does not exist in the history of Islam and Ottoman Empire. Contrarily, the relations with Jews was so strong. The problem emerged with the establishment of Israeli state and with Israel's agressor policies which has reached a level that poisons world politics.
History of Friendly Relations
Jewish lobbies were the most active supporters of Turkey in United States begining from the period of late Turkish President Turgut Ozal. Turkish officials always visited these lobbies during their visit to United States. Jewish lobby welcomed relations with Turkey and they also awarded Erdogan with "Award of Courage" in 2005.
It is known that the Jewish lobbies in United States were the leading supporters of Turkey against the efforts of Armenian lobbies. And Turkey was the only friend of Israel in the region. The spoilage began with the atrocity in Gaza. From now on, scattering to the edges with the influence of emotions will seriously harm both Turkey and Israel.
Besides this fact, the economical and political benefits of Turkish-Arabian friendship and importance of Iran cannot be ignored. The politics that will scatter countries to the edges are wrong and the appropriate politics is to make fine adjustments.
Jewish lobbies should be aware of this fact; anti-Turkish efforts will be "instigative" and those will also harm Israel.
To Avoid From Edges
We are on a period that the terroristic acts of PKK will get even more intensified. In this period, Turkey should avoid getting scattered to the edges in its policies against the West and the Middle East. There are several good examples in Turkish history as Ali Pasha, Abdulhamid, Ataturk and Inonu who followed successful diplomacies in such unsteady periods by applying fine adjustments.
Of cource Turkey should impose sanctions against the Israeli agression. But what kind of sanctions?..
An image like Iran and Hamas would alienate Turkey from the world community. The be scattered on the other edge and surrendering lobbies would also alienate Turkey... We have to overcome this unsteady period with avoiding to go to edges and by applying fine adjustments.
