Russia will give a comprehensive assessment of the incident.

“We express our deep regret over the incident. A particularly regrettable fact is that people were killed in the incident,” Spokesman for the RF Foreign Ministry Andrei Nesterenko told NEWS.am.

He noted that Russia will give a comprehensive assessment of the incident within a day. “The incident is a serious one, I have seen the statement of Mr. Nalbadian but I do not have details yet,” he said.

Yerevan has reacted angrily, blaming Baku for a clash on the contact line in which at least four Karabakh soldiers and one Azerbaijani were killed.

The clash occurred at approximately 23.30 local time (18.30 GMT) on Friday 18 June near the village of Chayli in Terter (Tartar) District.
