"Armenia is ready to use everything against Turks, even bugs and ants"

“It is essence of Armenians to use everything available against Turks,” Azerbaijani political expert Mubariz Ahmadoglu said commenting on recent calls from Yerevan to take advantage of the Turkey-Israel tension to advance Armenia’s interests and get “Armenian genocide” recognized by the United States.   “It is not surprising. Armenians are ready even to use even bugs and ants against Turks if necessary. It has always been the case,” the expert said.

“As for the problems in the Turkey-Israel relations, they are temporary and are not of fundamental nature. Turkey wants to boost its influence throughout the Middle East, and therefore it is not ready to give up close ties with Israel. Similarly, Tel Aviv is not prepared to risk a complete rupture of relations with Turkey. So, I think that the countries will come to an agreement and will cooperate in many areas," the expert added.

Noting the vote in the U.S. Congress International Relations Committee on “Armenia genocide”, the expert said Jewish community played a great role in voting for the “Armenian genocide” resolution. By that time, relations between Turkey and Israel had already been badly marred.

“The United States is shaping its own model of new "Middle East Policy", in which Israel and Turkey will occupy a worthy place. Turkey should not really worry about the issues related to the adoption of the "Armenian genocide" by some countries, because this step is mainly taken by states which have some resentment against Ankara. In fact, the question of "genocide" is a tool of pressure on Turkey by some states. Therefore, Yerevan should be ashamed that issue that they raised to the level of "national dignity" is used by others as a means to achieve own goals,” Ahmadoglu noted.
