EU  High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton has said she "regrets the armed incident resulting in the loss of human life that took place during the night between 18-19 June along the Line of Contact in the context of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, EU reported. In a statement, she called on both sides "to respect the ceasefire, restrain from the use of force or any threat thereof, and continue efforts for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict". "The EU reiterates its full support to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group and the work of the three co-chairs," Ashton said.

The Armenian armed forces intensively violate the ceasefire in recent days and both sides suffered losses as a result of skirmishes in the conflict zone.
