Famous Turkey-hater and defender of Armenia-congressman Frank Pallone 'excelled' with his inconsistency and impulsiveness.
Armenian side is trying to get out of the complex situation the official Yerevan was caught in after the organization of the provocation to initiate an armed incident in the occupied lands of Azerbaijan,.
The so-called “foreign defenders” of Armenia also joined the case along with various politicos, “experts”, the foreign minister and president of Armenia.

Pallone, who is co-chairing the Forum on Armenian issues of the US Congress, published a statement criticizing Azerbaijan and making a number of provocative statements on Monday.
Pallone called the incident in the occupied Karabakh, “the raid of the armed forces of Azerbaijan against the soldiers of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”.
Pallone seems to be badly acquainted with international law and the newest history of the United States, since neither the United States nor any other country or international organization recognize existence (!) of a formation as “NKR”. In addition, the UN General Assembly, whose head office locates in the same country where Pallone lives, recognizes these lands as the Azerbaijani territories occupied by the Armenian forces that repeatedly urged to leave these lands by the UN General assembly
Nevertheless, in his statement Pallone says he condemns “this offensive”.
“The attempt to penetrate the contact line with the defense of Karabakh is an inadmissible provocation and an attempt to monger further conflict”, said Pallone.
The way Pallone has come to this conclusion is unclear. Why should Azerbaijan whose lands are still under illegal occupation hamper the resolution of the conflict? Why should Azerbaijan which has repeatedly accepted the Madrid principles proposed by the Minsk Group co-chairs, “hamper” the resolution of the Karabakh conflict?
On the contrary, Armenia is the only country which is really interested in frustrating the process since it has not yet voiced its principal position on the document proposed by the co-chairs.
Armenia that has faced a deep internal political crisis worsening by the economic collapse has not yet specified the way it would respond to the definite proposal of the co-chairs and Azerbaijan for about several months.
Being aware of the deadlock, Sargsyan’s regime just decided to put off the solution for as longer as possible.
But when the geopolitical situation established the way that Sargsyan can no long protract time, he decided to make a provocation with the further planned black PR against Azerbaijan.
The political shortsightedness of Sargsyan and his supporters is so primitive that one can only shrug his shoulders watching their unlucky attempts to “mislead” the world community.
The Armenian side is again using the same tool of total falsifications and distorting facts it used in the late 80’s though forgetting that we live in the 21st century which such a tactics can not yield positive results.
Azerbaijan is also different. If in the early 90’s Armenia was facing an isolated state formation which was at the verge of state collapse, today it has to face an absolutely regional leader that has built exemplary relations with all its partners including the United States, Russia, Turkey, Iran and other global and regional actors.
They will not be able to mislead anyone even by means of provocateurs or “devil’s advocates” like Pallone.
A few words about Pallone
The congressman did not forget to express his “deepest condolences to the families of four soldiers who were killed in the result of this offensive” without thinking how many women and children were terminated by such soldiers in Khojaly and other occupied villages and cities of Azerbaijan.
In addition to shifting the whole responsibility for clashes on Baku, he also urged the government to restore 907th amendment.
“I am still calling on the US government to restore amendment 907 to the Act on Support of Freedom and restrict further military assistance to Azerbaijan”, Pallone said.
I wonder which freedom Pallone implies, if the amendment bans assistance to Azerbaijan which is a victim of aggression (as confirmed by the resolutions of the UN Security Council), thus accusing it of aggression against Armenia.
Different US presidents suspended this amendment as not meeting the national interests of the United States, however, this false document, adopted under the influence of the Armenian lobby was not completely eliminated.
And now, the “defenders” of Armenians as Pallone have again intensified their activity in an attempt to cause anarchy similar to the 90’s in South Caucasus.
It is clear who benefits from this tactics. It is the Armenian diaspora whose sense of living is limited to the supposition of its identity to Turkish and Azerbaijani and the criminal Karabakh clan of Sargsyan who came to powers thanks to the war with Azerbaijan.
And the commitment of these powers and their political shortsightedness may cause the collapse of statehood of Armenia which may fail under the pressure of the further raising of tensions in the South Caucasus and possible new war with Azerbaijan they are leading their country to.
