The next devil’s lawyer, Congressman Marc Kirk followed Radio Liberty and Frank Pallone.
According to Asbares, republican congressman Marc Kirk, co-chair of the Forum on Armenian issues of the US Congress has published a statement condemning 'Azerbaijani armed forces for attacks on the positions of Karabakh defense last week'.
It should be noted that several days ago Kirk’s colleague, also the co-chair of the 'Armenian forum' of the US Congress, Frank Pallone made a similar contradictory statement “condemning Azerbaijan”.
'I condemn the groundless attacks of Azerbaijani armed forces against the NKR troops and I regret the deaths of people', Kirk says.
At the same time, it is unclear how Kirk was able to define that it is Azerbaijan which is responsible for the incident while sitting in Washington.
No international organization has so far blamed any party of the incident. On the contrary, OSCE, EU and the Russian Foreign Ministry, took a neutral position appealing to both sides of the conflict.
We should again remind the unlucky congressmen as Pallone and Kirk that such incidents are caused by the continued occupation of Azerbaijani lands by the Armenian formations and the everyday violation of ceasefire regime by the Armenian side.
Kirk says in his statement: 'I am concerned that such destabilizing actions of the Azerbaijani side, combined with increasing military potential of Azerbaijan and provocative statement of the Azerbaijani leadership, seriously undermine the Minsk process headed by OSCE.
What can we say here? The next lie and libel. Azerbaijan has been taking part in the peace process, observing the ceasefire regime for over 15 years. Azerbaijan has been taking part in peace processes though Armenia has repeatedly undertaken provocations and provocative statements to frustrate the negotiation process and even not disdaining the shooting of the parliament.
Why isn’t Kirk concerned with the continued occupation of Azerbaijani lands, in the result of which a million of Azerbaijani citizens were forced to flee their homes? Why is he not concerned with the face of Lachin and Khojaly citizens?
Meanwhile, only the conflict in Darfur may be compared with this humanitarian disaster by the number of 'zeros'…
As for the military potential… Azerbaijan is growing its military potential like other countries do. For example, the United States, just the scales is incomparable. In addition Azerbaijan does not use its military potential is not used to attack sovereign states, that were groundlessly accused of having a nuclear weapon…
However, this cannot be said about Armenia. The Armenian military potential was used for occupation of the neighbor lands for already second decade bypassing four resolutions of the UN Security Council and numerous resolutions of international organizations including the UN General Assembly
But Kirk continues: 'It is necessary to restrict US military financing for Azerbaijan', he demand urging the administration to “hold consultations with the Congress before introduction of restrictions in line with amendment 907 of the Act on Support of Freedom.
In other words, he demand the restoration of the amendment which is a demonstration of double standards.
The amendment bans assistance to Azerbaijan which is a victim of aggression (as confirmed by the resolutions of the UN Security Council), thus accusing it of aggression against Armenia.
Different US presidents suspended this amendment as not meeting the national interests of the United States, however, this false document, adopted under the influence of the Armenian lobby was not completely eliminated.
And now, the 'defenders' of Armenians as Pallone have again intensified their activity in an attempt to cause anarchy similar to the 90’s in South Caucasus.
It is clear who benefits from this tactics. It is the Armenian diaspora whose sense of living is limited to the supposition of its identity to Turkish and Azerbaijani and the criminal Karabakh clan of Sargsyan who came to powers thanks to the war with Azerbaijan.
The zeal of the congressmen sponsored by Armenian lobby is astonishing!
But the most astonishing fact is that such statements and provocations receive no attention of the due bodies of the US administration which does not comment them.
This occurs even despite the fact that such 'an activity' of the lawmakers damages not only the negotiation process (every statement of this kind acts as a doping for Armenia which causes its nonconstructiveness) but also the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the United States and the high level of partnership between the states supported by the presidents of both countries.
