The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has commented on Edward Nalbandian’s statement.

In his statement, Nalbandian noted that the statement of the international community over the incident on the front line was addressed to Azerbaijan and has become a 'yellow card' for him.

'The Armenian foreign minister prefers commenting on the issues related to the military sphere using football terminology instead of comments related to his direct activity', said spokesman for Azerbaijani FM Elkhan Polukhov, commenting on the statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

'For example, the Armenian FM is watching the world football championship. We would like to remind to the Armenian foreign minister that when speaking of the nonuse of force, he obviously forgets that the violence was already applied by Armenia in the result of which 20% of Azerbaijani lands is under Armenian occupation, about a million of people became refugees and displaced persons and a hundred of Azerbaijani settlements have turned into ghost cities', said Polukhov.

In his statement, the Armenian FM fancies that despite the statements of international organizations did not specify the fact that it was Azerbaijan which is responsible for the recent incident and those 'who made statements told the Armenian side that it is clear whom these appeals are addressed'.
