Meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindeleger on Friday in Yerevan, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan commented on the possibilities of the revival of process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. Asked whether the process may gain a new acceleration, Nalbandian said, "Turkish-Armenian process will regain acceleration only if Turkey respects the agreements between two countries and if Turkey ratifies protocols without setting preconditions."

"There was a mutual understanding between two parties that parties should not set preconditions during negotiations. And there are also no preconditions in the protocols," said he. Claiming that Turkey returned to its "rhetoric of preconditions" after two countries signed protocols, Nalbandyan said that normalization process came to a deadlock because of Turkey's preconditions. "Calls towards normalization of Turkish-Armenian relaitons without preconditions was not made only by Armenia but also by EU, USA, Russia and international organizations. Turkish-Armenian process will continue only after Turkey gets ready to implement agreements that it makes with foreign countries," Nalbandian said.

"World Should Show Azerbaijan A Yellow Card"

Claiming that Azerbaijan struggles to turn Nagorno-Karabakh conflict into a religious cause, Armenian Foreign Minister accused Azerbaijan of violating the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. Blaming Azerbaijan of using a rhetoric of war and rejecting to remove snipers from the frontline, Nalbandian said, "International community should show Azerbaijan a yellow card."
