Azerbaijani political scientist Fikret Sadikhov has commented on the joint statement of the presidents of France, Russia and the United States.

'The joint statement of the leading powers proves that these countries are main regulators and key players that prediction the resolution of this long-lasting problem', said political scientist Fikret Sadikhov, commenting on the joint statement of Presidents Dmitri Medvedev, Barack Obama and Nicholas Sarkozy.

According to the political scientist, the presidents confirmed that the solution to the problem also depends on their will to some extent.

'The statement itself has again proved the attitude of these countries to the problem and the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, its inviolability', the political scientist said.

Sadikhov believes that not merely the statements but the execution of the statements is important for Azerbaijan.

'Only statements are not enough. They must be executed for the liberation of Azerbaijani lands. Azerbaijan will never agree with the occupation of its lands and everyone understands this. However, it is not enough to understand, it is necessary to spare no effort to provide due assistance to Azerbaijan and put serious pressure on Armenia for it to liberate these lands and not indulge the aggressor-state', he said.
