E-mail Print PDF

Russian newspapers claimed on June 25 that Armenian officials agreed for deployment of NATO troops in Nagorno-Karabakh. On the other hand, Armenian analysts refuted the reports stressing that Armenia will never agree deployment of foreign troops in the region.

Discussions related to NATO intervention to the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict is not new. Giving an interview to Panarmenian.net, Richard Giragosian, Director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS) said that Armenia will never agree with deployment of NATO troops in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the report of Haber.sol.org, Giragosian also claimed that any country in the region except Azerbaijan would welcome deployment of foreign troops in Nagorno-Karabakh.
