Mevlut Cavusoglu, President of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE), stated that undesired developments may take place in Nagorno-Karabakh if the problem is not solved immediately. Speaking to Turkish Anadolu Agency correspondent following the meeting with OSCE's Term President, Kazakh Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev, Cavusoglu commented on the ongoing Armenian occupation in Azerbaijani lands. "Nagorno-Karabakh problem should be immediately resolved, otherwise we may witness undesired developments," said he.

Stating that they discussed international issues like Nagorno-Karabakh and developments in Kyrgyzistan with Kazakh Foreign Minister Saudabayev, Cavusoglu said, "Kazakhstan and Turkey should work together on resolving these issues." Commenting on the recent developments in Nagorno Karabakh, Cavusoglu said, "We are concerned that more serious problems will emerge if the Karabakh problem is not resolved. It is not only me, Armenian officials also stress that serious tensions may form if Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is not resolved. Nagorno-Karabakh problem should be immediately resolved, otherwise we may witness undesired developments. Both OSCE and OSCE Minsk Group should be more active regarding this issue."
