Clinton is expected to meet Armenian leaders during her visit to Yerevan to revive the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. The details of the agenda of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's visit to Eastern Europe and Caucasus are announced.

Philip Gordon, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the United States announced that Clinton will visit Ukraine, Poland, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia between July 1 and 5. Gordon stated that Clinton's visit to Armenia is a good opportunity to discuss the Turkish-Armenian process which is stalled in the phase of ratification of protocols towards normalization of relations.

Reminding of ongoing American support to the Turkish-Armenian normalization, Gordon said that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will discuss the issue during her meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan. "United States believe that ratification of protocols and opening of the borders between two countries are in the interest of the whole region," said he.
