'War in Karabakh conflict zone may open new opportunities'.
The war in the Karabakh conflict zone may open new opportunities and lead the parties out of the present deadlock situation, the known French expert in armed conflicts studies and in international and strategic relation Gerard Chaliand said over the event organized by Civilitas Foundation.
He also added that at present the threat of war is more than before, and the Armenian party should be ready to the attack which may happen in the near future. When predicting possible development of the battle actions he said that Azerbaijan will try to reach success via the blitz-krieg, via implementation of the air attacks and big number of victims from the Armenian party during the first days of the war. Then Russia will interfere and send the peace-making contingent to the battle actions zone.
The mist important for Armenia will be at attempt to prevent big number of victims during the first days of the war, he said.
