Frank Pallone, Co-chairman of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, praised U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over her visit to so called Armenian genocide monument during her official visit to Yerevan.
Expanding the date of 1915 into "1915 - 1923" to include also the history of Turkish Republic besides Ottoman Empire, pro-Armenian congressman called US government to recognize "systematicall killing of 1,5 million Armenians between 1915 and 1923". Commending Clinton over her visit to "genocide" memorial in Yerevan, Pallone said that the visit could be evaluated as a display of progress in American diplomacy at the highest levels towards recognition of so called Armenian genocide.
Urging House of Representatives to pass the resolution recognizing Armenian allegations, Pallone called US President Barack Obama to support the resolution in the House.
Foreign Affairs Committee of US House of Representatives had voted so called Armenian genocide resolution on March 2010. The resolution was adopted by the committee with one vote difference.
