Pro-Armenian Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), prepares to host screening of a controversial documentary on so called Armenian genocide at Capitoll Hill.

The movie which was broadcasted by German Public Television (NDR) in April had sparked protest demonstrations in Germany. The 90 minutes movie "Aghet: A Genocide" will be put on screen on July 21, at Rayburn House Office Building Room at Capitoll Hill by California Representative Adam Schiff.

Commenting on the event, Schiff said that it is an honour for him to "educate" his colleagues and their staffs about the first "genocide" of the 20th century. According to the report of Asbarez, a panel discussion following the screening of the movie will be held in the sponsorship of Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), one of the leading Armenian diaspora organizations in United States. Documentary's Director Eric Friedler, former U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, John Evans, Armenian descent Director Carla Garapedian, Director of Center for Armenian Remembrance Vartkes Yeghiayan and Executive Director of ANCA, Aram Hamparian will attend the event.

The contreversial documentary "Aghet: A Genocide", accusing Turkey of committing a genocide against ethnic Armenians in the country was shaply criticized by Turkish authorities and Turkish community in Germany.
