Controversial Documentary “Aghet: A Genocide” Screened at US Congress

A controversial documentary which refers to Armenian allegations regarding 1915 incidents, “Aghet: A Genocide” screened at US Congress. One of the major figures of Armenian lobby in US Congress, Congressman Adam Schiff (D – CA) hosted the event which is held at Rayburn House Office Building Room at Capitoll Hill.

Pro-Armenian Congressmen Brad Sherman (D – CA) and Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Eric Friedler, Director of the movie and John Evans, former US Ambassador to Armenia who was dismissed during the Presidency of George Bush for defining 1915 incidents as a genocide, were also present at the screening of the 90 minute documentary.

During the event, Congressmen Schiff, Sherman and Pallone made speeches condemning Turkey refering Armenian allegations regarding 1915 incidents.
