A memorial complex is constructed on the mass grave of victims of genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijani people in Guba region of Azerbaijan.
The construction was started 10-15 days ago, head of the research group of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Gahraman Aghayev told. The construction work will be completed next year.
Aghayev said it needed to change bed of Gudyalchay River near the mass grave and Azerkorpu Company has already begun construction of a new dam.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev issued an order on December 30, 2009 about the construction of Genocide Memorial Complex in Guba. AZN 1 million was allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of Azerbaijan for the construction of memorial complex.
