Azerbaijani Folklore Song Presented as Armenian at New York Radio Station

Azerbaijan's folklore song "Sari gelin" was presented as Armenian "Mountain bride" performed by Jivan Gasparyan in New York. Azerbaijan's Sari Gelin was presented as Armenian "Mountain bride" performed by Jivan Gasparyan in Radio Pozitiv program in Russian in New York on July 28, according to a statement of Azerbaijan's permanent representation in UN.

In response to this, the permanent representation of Azerbaijan in UN contacted the radio administration saying the things voiced in the program are untrue and asked to correct the mistake.

The request was satisfied and the audience was informed that Sari Gelin is a folklore song of Azerbaijan and apologizes were presented for the mistake.
